Today, Nov. 18, is Tirumalai Krishnamacharya’s birthday.
The teacher of not only Pattabhi Jois, aka Guruji, and B.K.S. Iyengar, he’s another who seems to prove that practice, practice, practice, and long life is coming.
Krishnamacharya (the grandfather of ALL yoga that you see out there these days) was born November 18, 1888.
As an expression of gratitude here are a few things I’ve learned from him, without ever knowing him, and that inspire me daily:
Messenger of Yoga
As a teacher he kept a low profile but that did not mean he stopped propagating the message of yoga, he just did it wisely. Matter of fact, when A.G. Mohan was to go onto a yoga conference in the 70’s that was the direct advise that Krishnamacharya gave him: “Propagate Yoga Wisely”
He was picky of the students he took on because he knew that they would reflect on him and wanted more than anything to please the wishes of his guru Bramacharya, who asked him to go into the world and propagate yoga. That he did.
Every yoga teacher out there has been influenced by Krishnamacharya whether we know it or not.
He took Yoga seriously and practiced all his life.
Krishnamacharya inspires me to get on the mat everyday. His determined eye gaze seems to pervade all around the place where I practice, I know he is watching!

All situations are opportunities for the Divine Light to shine through you as times of celebration. Life is divinely guided and directed at every moment. Calling on the Angels for assistance gives you a direct link to your greater good and aids the wisdom of the universe to flow through you.
Whatever situation is occurring in your life, allow the Divine Light to show you the possibility for meaningful outcomes. Ask for creative solutions for the highest good for all concerned. This will open the door for the Angelic forces to begin their work. Receiving the assistance of Angels is truly a cause for celebration. Celebrate the fact that you are not alone. Celebrate the fact that all you do is now divinely guided, because you asked.
You can believe you have to do it all by yourself if you choose. However, with even the smallest intention to receive help, with the slightest hope that good can come of the situations in your life, and the willingness to release the fear Divine Light will flow to you in abundance. This will bring inspiration and guidance for your next steps, and will allow you to actually do that which will be in your highest good. You are the one who takes the steps, no one can do this for you. And when you walk, you will be held in the arms of the Angels of Light walking in trust and faith.
Receive this light and celebrate

Thank You. 11th day of the 11th month. Veterans Day is a day not only to remember those who died in service to our country, but also to recognize those who continue to serve today. With gratitude for the heroism, victory and to those who fulfill this patriotic service to maintain the freedoms of our country. #VeteransDay
It is a time of growth and renewal, a time for breakthroughs into new levels of being for each of us individually. It is a time that is jam-packed with awesome potential.
In past centuries, only a few people would have the consciousness to experience their divinity within the human form. Now all of humanity has that potential. We are moving and creating our lives within the power of Divine Light. This allows us each of us to access pure alignment to the Source of All That Is.
Within you there is a place of such Peace that you can totally relax there and allow it to soak through your being. Within you is Truth and Joy, allow yourself to experience this place within, where you can be free just to be. It is as close as your breath. And it is with your breath, and the power of your thoughts and imagination, that you can begin to experience your Higher Self and your connection to the Divine.

Happy Halloween! Wishing you all a safe and spooky night.

Halloween is an annual celebration of renewal. The meaning of Halloween is all about the inherent potential all life holds for us. It is a profound moment in which we can transform darkness by pointing ourselves into the direction of our own guiding lights.
The meaning of Halloween solidifies the presence of great transition in our midst. Our ancestors could instinctually feel shifts within nature, and so they anticipated internal shifts within spirit, mind and body too.
Halloween was and still is a landmark way to embrace the changes in our lives and prepare ourselves to meet amazing transformation in the months that lay ahead.
There is more to the symbolic meaning of Halloween than how much candy we get at the end of the night. It is a sacred holiday that originated from some very cool ancient people. Before the days of grocery stores, people had to provide for themselves. Halloween is a time of harvesting those provisions, and celebrating the bounty of the earth.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!!

Beautiful Mala necklaces hold a special significance for the wearer based on where they’re from, the power imbibed into them. All in all we feel and experience an energy resonance while holding the beads and this increases over time as we wear and use them for meditation.
Traditionally a mala means garland and has 108 beads strung together and one guru bead, in the very center, symbolic of the light and the teacher who helps lift our awareness making us self-reliant and independent. The guru bead is also a marker for your fingers during meditation and mantra repetition and you’ll feel it easily while using the mala with your eyes closed.
A common way to use the mala is to engage in a japa, or mantra meditation. The repetitive recitation of a single sound, such as om, a few words, such as om so ham, or your personal mantra which can be deeply transformative is done once per bead. Tracing the beads of the mala with your fingers can help you keep track of japa, and you can set an intention to repeat one, two or three malas per day as a start.
Similar to praying with rosary beads, meditating with a mala helps calm the mind, deepens the breath and gradually re-directs focus of the mind away from daily worries and towards positive and spiritual thought patterns.
Meditation is well known to positively affects the brain and mood. However finding the time and practice that enables us to be still, calm and focused for 10 minutes or more is generally quite challenging. This is where your mala and mantra are essential tools for achieving better attention, wellness and enhanced self-awareness.
Check out our online jewelry boutique. We feature three different types of malas.

National Breadstick Day recognizes the delicious goodness of dunkable pieces of warm enjoyment.
Breadsticks come in many forms. They can be soft or crunchy. Breadsticks can be flavored with garlic, onion, salt or cheese. They can also be sweetened with cinnamon and sugar.
They often accompany Italian meals. Pair them with pasta covered in alfredo or marinara sauces. Add them to a soup, if you prefer, enjoy them with your salad. The aroma of fresh-baked breadsticks warm a home and improve every meal.
When it comes to dipping sauces, breadsticks satisfy just about everyone at the table. Restaurants and home cooks offer up cheesy, herbed and spicy sauces for dipping. If you can’t decide, order extra and try them all!
Today invite family and friends over for a beautiful meal and add breadsticks to the menu.
What are your favorite kinds?
Happy Friday #NationalBreadstickDay
Be Grateful for all that you are. It takes discipline and effort to switch to a different channel where we can look from a higher perspective with more gratitude. When we do this, it can take us directly into our hearts, and then from our heart’s intelligence we are able to create from a more resourceful place.
Gratitude is the attitude that gives us the inspiration we need so we can feel more love and appreciation for our lives. That is because Gratitude is a powerful energy surge that raises our vibrational frequencies to the level where we can see beyond the immediate appearance of disharmony to the truth of the dynamic force of the Divine working in our lives.
This expansive presence of Divine Pure Potential can work with us to create a life that is more in keeping with what we want to experience. It responds to our thoughts and feelings directly. In the new energy system in which we are living, we have clear choices about how we want to live. At this time of heightened energy frequencies, we have been given a blank slate where we can formulate our lives. We do this by asking the Universe to work through us so we can be in alignment with the highest wisdom of our Soul. Though this may sound simple, because of our habitual ways of thinking, it takes an extreme focus of attention on what we truly want to experience instead of what we don’t like about ourselves and the lives we are living.
Our focus of attention is a powerful tool, simple but not easy; The magnetic energy of our thoughts and feelings is the seed that creates attraction to a different experience. That is why keeping our energy frequencies as uplifted as possible makes such a difference in what we are experiencing in life. When there is nothing else we can think of to do, being grateful can be the key that turns the tides of our feelings into the channels of new life and wellbeing. It is an amazing and powerful tool just waiting for us to put it into action. With this simple tool you can transform your world as you become more grateful for all that you already have in your life and what is being offered to you from All That Is.
