November: The Beaver Full Moon

There’s something special, magical, about sky-watching events. For just a second, something way up in the sky, outside of our daily lives, can pull us out of ourselves and into a communal experience that we share with people all over the world. We felt that with meteor showers and the solar eclipse earlier this year. Even with chaos going on in the world around us, it’s grounding. Lucky for us, The Beaver Full Moon will be the largest full moon we’ve had yet in 2017 and it’s happening to grace our sky this full moon weekend!

The Beaver Moon’s path isn’t passing through any of the 12 constellations of the traditional zodiac, but will pass into Cetus and in front of Aldebaran. The Aldebaran is the brightest star in Taurus, so on Nov. 5 you might just be able to see occultation which is when one celestial body blocks another.

Get your moon loving friends out for a special viewing. Bring the themed snacks like moon pies and enjoy the Beaver Moon.

Harvest Full Moon in Pisces

The full moon today Wednesday September 6, 2017 is at 13° Pisces. First harvest time of this new eclipse cycle. The astrology of the Harvest Full Moon suggests that it will have an impact on your hopes, dreams and on your love life. Full moons have long been associated with myths and legends and Native Americans gave a distinctive name to the one that occurred each month. September’s full moon is known as the Harvest Moon or Corn Moon because of it occurring at a time when crops were harvested and farmers could work by the light of the full moon. It most commonly occurs in September, but the name is given to the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, which can fall during October once or twice every decade.

The Moon is very happy in Pisces. (which also occurs in conjunction with Pisces ruler, Neptune) amplifying the energy of Pisces and making it even more important for us to be sweet, gentle, kind, and caring. This placement in natal charts has certainly brought out some powerful and influential women in the field of medical science and healing. The lunar lesson here is to tap into your own inner guru. Use your increased emotional strength and intuition to overcome challenges.

Sun opposite Moon “Virgo-Pisces” brings attention to your close relationships and how they are influenced. Others may try to bring you down by attacking your private life. The two weeks of this moon phase will be an especially sensitive time. Be very clear to yourself and to others about your intentions. Under the Full Moon we might feel especially thirsty for the waters of Spirit. Yet, we might also find that our thirst is being quenched through tidal waves of intuition, dreams, epiphanies, release of tension.

Every Full Moon marks an energetic peak, which shines a bright beam on whatever is coming full-circle in our Life, highlighting realizations, culminations, manifestations in the world of five senses; yet, with Pisces, it is subtle, holographic, and divine.

Revelations and realizations will arise from that lunar space that simultaneously permeates and transcends reality; that immaterial space where the voice of the heart echoes undisturbed. As the veil between worlds grows thinner, the intuitive knowledge and guidance that flickers from beyond will appear closer than ever, to the point of feeling more realistic than the so-called real world itself. The meta-physical plane, on the other hand, will be remarkably alive and vibrant with inspiration, and the limelight of the Full Moon will work as an ethereal channel to the Spirit world.

How To Use a Crystal Ball

Fortune Teller and Crystal Ball go together. It’s the stereotypical image of a fortune teller a woman in a headscarf, waving and placing her hands over a crystal ball conjuring images of that tall, dark, and handsome soulmate– but a crystal ball is still to this day a very useful tool to have in your intuitive psychic box. Crystal ball gazing is accessible to everyone, and although challenging at first, it’s definitely something which improves with practice.

Choosing a Crystal Ball
Most crystal balls are made of glass, but you could be surprised to know that a good crystal ball doesn’t have to be clear – you can also use a crystal ball made of amethyst, smokey quartz or any other gemstone of your choice. You might wonder, how does this work, when you’re suppose to see images in a crystal ball? Well, it works because the images you see will be in your third eye or mind’s eye, not in the crystal ball itself . The crystal ball is a tool for focusing your mind and freeing your third eye.

Choose a crystal ball which appeals to you, but make sure it’s not too small. Bigger is definitely better, as it’s easier to concentrate. When you get your first crystal ball home, it’s a good idea to gently wash it in mild soapy water, just to clean away any excess energies. From this point on, only you handle it, and store it safely away when not in use.

Setting the Scene
In order to use the crystal ball, you need a quiet space where you will not be interrupted. If you already have a space for meditation, that would be best. Some people like to set the scene by cleansing the room with a smudge sage stick first, burning incense, lighting a candle, or playing spiritual music.

Starting to Gaze
When you are ready, Relax and hold hold the crystal ball for just a moment. When you have a specific question in mind, ask it in your mind now, or ask for you to be shown whatever will be helpful to you at this time.

Then place the ball onto its stand, or onto a dark cushion or cloth. And gaze. Literally.

Gaze and stare at the ball intently. Try not to blink or to look away. Hold your gaze. If you’re good at the Magic Eye pictures, you’ll be great at crystal gazing! It may take some time, but eventually you will get the hang of it.

Remember – these images are in your mind, clairvoyant images in your third eye, not in the crystal ball itself.

Interpreting What You Saw
Most crystal ball images are symbolic. If you saw a boat, what might that mean, given your current situation? If you saw the color purple, how does that apply? If you saw a name, do you know that person? Interpreting the images can be as tricky as getting them in the first place, but trust the process and this does become easier, you will find that images come faster, and are more relevant to your question and much more simple to interpret.

Lucky Color Red

Colors have meaning and express a certain energy, and our subconscious is constantly taking cues. Red represents fire. Chinese people usually believe that red can be a sign of joy and good fortune. It has been a common color in Chinese New Year and other traditional holidays. That is why many people that have been married usually give red envelopes as red is a sign of good luck.

When you’re looking to make a change in your life, you may want to reconsider the color symbols in your home and office. Color is one of the most powerful tools used in feng shui. Red represents the element of fire, and because of its intensity, is considered a lucky color in feng shui. It can be used in doses to redirect energy around the home.

Grief and Loss: Dealing with Special Days

Birthdays, death days, holidays, and anniversaries–they can be hard to handle when our loved ones have passed on. Most of us don’t know what to expect on these days when they start creeping up. Will it be a day of remembering our loved one? Will it be a day of remembering the pain of their loss? Can any holiday ever feel the same again?
We’ve learned a few things that have helped us, and we hope they may be helpful to you.

The first year’s birth/death/anniversary/holidays are usually the most difficult.

Because we don’t know what to expect, they can seem overwhelming as they approach for the first time. We may want to feel a certain way but discover we feel completely different when the day’s finally arrived. We may place heavy expectations for that day and find our expectations aren’t met. We might be feeling like, “Who am I now that my loved one is gone, and how do I handle this anniversary?” Or, we may expect to feel deep sorrow and be surprised to feel “fine,” which can sometimes lead to unwanted feelings of guilt. Others may feel the opposite-wanting to completely check out, to not even celebrate at all. Honor their memory, & honor yourself for carrying on.

Time helps, but there’s no set time limit for grief.

Many people are told that the grieving process should be for “x” amount of months or weeks, but that’s not how grief works. There is no time limit, and the duration of grief really depends on many other factors–like how the person died and what your relationship was like before they died.

Remembering is good.

Remember the good times. Remember what you loved most about them. Remember their strengths. Often, on the birth or death day of our loved ones we have a family gathering and remember them by sharing memories. It’s good to remember.

Let yourself feel about and experience birthdays, death days, holidays, or anniversaries however you feel is best.

There is no right or wrong when it comes to these special days. Sometimes, it’s healthier to cry. Sometimes, its healthier to laugh and celebrate and sometimes it’s healthier to look ahead and plan the day. Do what works for you and for the time of your progression through grief.

Honor your loved one and Honor yourself for carrying on.

As the years progress, it becomes less about what we have lost and more about who they were, what they have taught us, and what we can leave behind in honor of  them. We can carry on. We can learn from their lives and grow. Then, we can share that growth with others.

That’s one of the best ways we can honor our loved ones who have passed on, to learn from them and then to share what we have learned; to let their legacy be one of peace, of hope, of peace, of compassion, and great love.

Road to Freedom

When you’re ready for change, surrender is the way to go so allow the transitions and transformation and be prepared to allow and receive.

If surrender is a hard concept for you, learn to stop resisting and start receiving. Since we have been having eclipses that bring forth change and a double dose of spiritual lessons and learning, We can each be powerful in our own lives while also connecting with all of humanity in a powerful and self and whole empowering way.

Moving into new paradigms of awareness, understanding, and empowerment come with a price that can be heavy at times, when we must let go of what no longer fits into the new reality. That process of letting go is surrender, acknowledging that we must release what represents resistance to our transformation.  Part of our surrender too, is allowing situations to end by recognizing that they have come to the ‘end of their energy road’. Sometimes these endings feel like a failure because we have given so much and worked so hard to create that outcome. We did not fail and cannot fail when an outcome depends on what someone else is going to choose. The past is gone and we need to face forward. While we may regret what did not work out the way we wanted, there is always a new day, new dawn,  new potentials, and a fresh start to the road to freedom.

Live Intuitively

The word intuition translates as meaning to look inside or to contemplate.

Your intuition is designed to help you to connect with the people and experiences that will make you feel truly happy and fulfilled. Living intuitively can be enjoyable, bringing forth pure joy, love, wonder, beauty and abundance. By living intuitively start by listening to your heart.

Listening to your heart is one of the best ways to liberate yourself of your conditioned self so you can start accessing more of your natural intuitive abilities.

Your heart is designed to guide you onto the path of living your dreams and knows the right way to live. The challenge is that the mind will often override this incredible source of intuitive wisdom. When you start paying attention to it, you will be richly rewarded with intuitive information, clarity and direction.

To live an intuitive life, you must cultivate the courage to be different so that you can become uniquely you. Face your fears is a very important component of the intuitive path.

Choose to be around people that support you on your path of being the best that you can be.  If you can’t be around supportive people, start spending more time on your own. Creating more time with yourself will naturally help you to hear and access more of your intuition.

Doing work that you love is an essential part of living a more intuitive life. If you haven’t found work that you love yet, start experimenting with new activities and notice the things that make you happy. Ask your intuition to guide you in doing this.

To live an intuitive life, it is important that you allow yourself to go beyond what is comfortable for you. Start by taking small steps outside your comfort zone so that you can build up to taking bigger risks in your life. This will allow you to always keep learning and growing and develop more confidence in your natural intuitive self.

Trust your intuition and allow it to guide you to live a richer, more heart-centered and intuitive life.
