Today is such a great day… No not because it is the weekend… because it is National Cuddle Up Day!!
January is typically a month that generates some of the coldest days of the year, especially if you grew up on the east coast or still live in winter weather areas so what better way to stay warm and reap the health benefits of cuddling with your sweetie on National Cuddle Up Day!!
Cuddling releases oxytocin. This hormone alone has tremendous health benefits. Besides giving us warm and fuzzy feelings, oxytocin reduces pain. So when the cold has made those muscles and joints ache, cuddling can help reduce those aches and pains. Cuddling would probably be covered by health insurance it’s such a huge health benefit!
Forgiveness is for your own spiritual growth and happiness. When we hold on to hurt, pain, resentment, and anger it harms us far more than it harms the offender. Forgiveness frees you to live in the present… and allows you to move on. Though it can feel very comforting or powerfully releasing to be forgiven, make no mistake: we do not forgive the other person; we forgive ourselves!
Forgiveness lets us regain our personal power. Our anger, regret, hatred, or resentment towards someone means that we are giving up power to that person.
But more than wanting to forgive, we don’t want to be hurt again.
There is this natural belief that when or if we forgive, then we are not only saying what that person did was okay, we are being vulnerable enough to allow them to hurt us again. Resentment becomes a defense mechanism to protect our heart. I think many of us live with resentment and bitterness not because we want to, but because we’ve confused forgiveness with trust. When you have been hurt; betrayed; abused; cheated on; lied to then it is easy to confuse these two things. In fact, so many people that we talk to often feel like they haven’t fully forgiven because their trust hasn’t been restored.
Forgiveness is a process, but trust is a prized possession. Once your trust has been broken, it becomes even more valuable. Healing doesn’t come all at once. When you’ve been hurt, lied to or betrayed your heart is in a vulnerable state. What you want most is what you used to have.
When you desire any relationship to be restored, begin to communicate everything that will build inner trust. Give the person who’s hurt you an opportunity to earn your trust. Don’t hold them hostage to your suspicions…communicate with them what you desire from them to earn trust.
The currency of any relationship is trust. As we forgive, we free ourselves from bitterness. As we trust, we experience the process of restoration.

Pumpkin soup delight 🎃 Here is a delightful pumpkin soup recipe with some additional healing drops included Black pepper supports the respiratory, nervous, circulatory and digestive systems, thyme supports the endocrine and respiratory systems and may be helpful for those who have the dry skin problem, and clove keeps you well and supports the digestive and respiratory systems. Now that is a power packed soup!

1 Large Pumpkin
4TB of Unrefined Coconut
1-2 drops of Young Living Black Pepper Vitality Essential Oil
1-2 drops of Young Living Thyme Vitality Essential Oil
1-2 drops of Young Living Clove Vitality Essential Oil
1cup of Coconut milk
1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
Preheat oven to 400F.
Lightly coat the outside of the pumpkin with coconut oil and bake (whole) on the bottom rack for an hour.
Let it stand for 15-20 minutes.
Once cooled enough cut in half be careful of the steam! Scoop outside the seeds and set them aside.
Scoop out of the rest of the pumpkin and place in a food processor blend until smooth.
In a large pot heat up some coconut oil and add diced shallots.
Sauté them over medium heat until they are golden brown.
Add the pumpkin purée into the pot and put rest of coconut milk, cayenne pepper, and sweetener.
Simmer for 15-20 minutes
Just before moving soup from heat add in a few pinches of mineral salts and essential oils, then add in a few pumpkin seeds as garnish with each bowl served.
