Bhakti Fest Yoga|Dance|Sacred Music Festival

Bhakti translates as love and devotion. This fabulous festival is four days of camping in the starry California desert, or spending your stay at Joshua Tree Retreat Center practicing meditation and yoga to live musicians, singing kirtan and dancing barefoot to the likes of MC Yogi and Donna Delory until late at night.

My whole heart is filled with so much happiness to be at Bhakti Fest
For those who like to keep the yoga and mantra mix going, White Swan Records offers innumerable soundtracks for the yoga of life.
Coconut Bliss served delicious scoops of pure delight. Cool, creamy bites of salted caramel, ginger cookie, and hazelnut chocolate kept yogi and yogini faces more than relaxed, chilled and happy while vibing to the mystic afternoon beats of Girish. With an eclectic mix of rock, indian and reggae inspired rhythms, every artist set us off into a state of bhavtastic bliss!

Bhakti Fest as a whole was  awesome. Part of what made it so powerful was that the entire sacred festival revolved around live music. It has been envisioned and talked about how Bhakti Fest is as a spiritual Woodstock, where thousands of people come together, chanting the names of God.
Krishna Das has said that in India, people understand that God is within. The Hindu images associated with God, deities like Krishna and Hanuman and Ganesha, are symbols of the divine that live in each one of us. Chanting the names of God from any tradition is sacred because each repetition is said to be a seed, and sooner or later, that seed grows.

The seeds of love were certainly sent out with rain showers and rainbows in the early morning sky. It was breathtaking to look at and a rainbow has such a powerful message to convey. Lovely to gather there with a cluster of new friends, sitting on lawn chairs and blankets, singing along with other music artists, everyone dancing and spinning. Fantastic evening concert and such a transforming event @ Joshua Tree Retreat Center

We LOVE Bhakti Fest!!

Lipstick Tree

Different trees have distinctive scents. Our sense of smell is directly connected to our mind’s state of being, and we powerfully impact our mind through the scents that we breathe.

Ayurveda teaches that nothing has been more power to heal and transform the body than the mind.

Lipstick tree delivers a scent that promotes relaxation and rejeuvanation. It protects against free radical damage, provides UV protection against the elements and helps relieve damage caused to the skin by environmental pollutants.

The pleasurable scent alleviate stress and help relieve unpleasant emotions to bring a sense of peace and rejuvenate the spirit.

Adho Mukha Vrksasana

Sometimes you may just need to do a handstand. Aside from bringing out your inner child and just being fun to do, there are actually multiple ways handstands can benefit your health, especially if you do them on a daily basis.

Whether you do them against a wall or manage to do freestanding ones, here are three reasons why handstands are good to do everyday:

 1) they increase balance.

2) they build core strength.

 3) they make your upper body strength superpowerful.

Reinvent Yourself: Art of Intuitive Eating

Winter Fruit and Veggie Wraps – Reinvent Yourself with the Art of Intuitive Eating.

Roll up as tightly as possible, and enjoy intuitively eating this healthy wrap.

Make Raw Veggie Interesting.

Keep your body biologically fed with adequate energy. Otherwise you can trigger a primal drive to overeat. Once you reach the moment of excessive hunger, all intentions of moderate, conscious eating are fleeting. Learning to honor this first biological signal sets the stage for re-building trust with yourself and food.

Make peace with your food, Give yourself unconditional love and permission to eat. If you tell yourself that you can’t have a particular food, it can lead to intense feelings of deprivation that build into uncontrollable cravings and, often, bingeing When you finally “give-in” to your forbidden food, eating will be experienced with such intensity, and overwhelming guilt. Reinvent a new relationship with food.

Honor Your Feelings without using food to find ways to comfort , nurture, distract, and resolve your issues without using food.

Respect Your Body, Accept your genetic blueprint. Just as a person with a shoe size of eight would not expect to realistically squeeze into a size six, it is equally uncomfortable futile to have the same expectation with body size. But mostly, love your body, so you can feel better about who you are. Because guess what?

YOU are beautiful and perfect just the way you are.

Love & Light,

The Universe says YES

Not only is the Law of Attraction the most powerful Law in the Universe, but you must understand it before anything else so it can be of value. And understanding it before anything you are living, or anything you observe anyone else living, will make sense.

Everything in your life and the lives around you is affected by the Law of Attraction. It is the base of everything you see manifesting. It is the basis of everything that comes into your experience. An awareness of the Law of Attraction and an understanding of how it works is essential to living life on purpose. It’s essential to living life of joy that you came forth to live.

The powerful Law of Attraction, the evidence of it surrounds you, for you will begin to recognize the exact vibes what you have been thinking about and what is coming into your experience. You attract it – All of it.

Law of Attraction responds to the thoughts that you hold at all times. You are creating your own reality. Everything that you experience is attracted to you because the Law of Attraction is responding to the thoughts that you are offering. The Law of Attraction responds to the now.

See yourself as a magnet attracting unto you the essence of that which you are thinking and feeling. With the Law of Attraction, you begin to invite into your experience.

To the Law of Attraction,

Kelly Krishna Dunn 🙂
