Memorial Day 2018

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly known as Decoration Day and commemorates all men and women who have died in military service for the United States. Many people visit cemeteries and memorials on Memorial Day and it is traditionally seen as the start of the summer season, even though summer is not until June 21st, 2018, it is the beginning of beach and bbq season and seen as the kickstart of the summer season.

Memorial Day has become less of an occasion of remembrance. Many people choose to hold picnics, sports events, bbq, and family gatherings on this weekend. For the fashion conscious, it is seen as acceptable to wear white clothing, particularly shoes from Memorial Day until Labor Day. However, fewer and fewer people follow this rule and many wear white clothing throughout the year.

As our nation celebrates Memorial Day on this beautiful weekend, we could take the opportunity as well to reflect on the sacrifice of the members of our armed forces who gave their lives so we can enjoy freedom and prosperity in the greatest human experience ever known.

We could also take time to reflect on what we can do for those currently serving, the veterans who have returned home, and the future soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines of our republic.

Rainbow Energy Healing

Align your energy to feel grounded and balanced.

Kundalini Yoga class this Memorial Day weekend is a journey through the Chakras, and includes meditation, breathwork, and chanting/mantra, all while Rainbow Energy is flowing!

Rainbow Energy is a Universal Healing Energy that clears and supports the Chakras (Energy Centres), and the entire Energy Body – Meridians, Auric Field, Soul Connection Grid, and Higher Chakras.

It’s not limited to one set frequency, and includes a vast spectrum of healing vibrations, each with it’s own healing property and an associated color.

The Energy is intuitive, so each person in the class experiences different shades of colored healing light, based on the unique needs of their body, mind and soul.

When we combine Chakra-based Kundalini Yoga, with Rainbow Energy Healing, it’s a powerful self-healing experience that clears and recharges our entire energy body!

Meditation For The Positive Mind

Our minds are incredibly powerful tools – even more so than we may realize. Just by thinking something, we can make it more likely to occur. That is a powerful, but dangerous ability. If your thoughts are positive and uplifting, you will increase the likelihood of seeing those dreams through to fruition. If they are negative, however, you can have just the opposite effect. Obviously it is our best interests to keep our minds thinking positively throughout the day, and this meditation will help you do just that.

Ganesh: Cosmic Oracle Card Reading

It’s important at this time to move beyond the limitations of ‘it’s not meant to be’ and focus on ‘if this is for my highest good then the universe will move me there safely’. Ganesh not only brings a clear light to your external situation but also helping you clear up any inner conflicts. When obstacles arise, know that they are just reminders that you care about your path and that you have the ability to change your current situation. Ganesh is here to help and give thanks to him for clearing the way. To increase your connection to #ganesh, you could chant in Sanskrit: ‘Om, Gam, Ganapataye, Namaha!

Raymix (born Edmundo Gómez Moreno) released his smash hit “Oye Mujer,” which has surpassed 197 million views on YouTube, but all this happened after the Mexican singer earned his college degree. Raymix is an aerospace engineer and his last job was at NASA, where he discovered the idea of mixing Latin basses with electronics as an auditory experiment. National Cherry Cobbler Day

National Cherry Cobbler Day is dedicated every May 17th to the delicious tart dessert that many enjoy with ice cream.

In the United States, cobbler refers to a variety of dishes that consist of a fruit filling (cherry being a popular choice ) covered with a batter or pie crust that is then baked. Some cobblers have both a top and bottom crust.

Cobblers originated in the early British American colonies. It was because of the lack of suitable ingredients and proper cooking equipment that the English settlers were unable to make their traditional suet puddings, so to improvise, they covered a stewed filling with a layer of uncooked biscuits or dumplings.

A cherry cobbler differs from a crisp as a cobbler lacks oatmeal. Sometimes the cobbler is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
