During the past six weeks, Venus asked us to have an honest look at our relationships, our possessions, our values, and check to see if they are still connected. We are now prepared to move forward in closer alignment with our true values. When Venus turned direct she was close to Chiron at 26° Pisces, opening us to the deep healing power of love.

Stand Up For Yourself Gracefully

Intuition is knowing when to say no, and when you can move your limits.

Learn to feel it in your body – are there any situations where your body tells you to stand up for yourself more? Doing it all with grace will make it feel so much better. You probably do this already, but getting aware of the process can make it all feel more meaningful.

Intuition. The Art of I Just Know It.

Intuition is so much more than premonitions and the future. Intuition is knowing what is right and what is wrong. Intuition is living in harmony with our spirits and the larger force of life. Intuition is listening. Deep.

Living intuitively is the answer to the invisible questions, What is my purpose? Why am I here?  Learning to trust your intuition can transform your life. Suddenly you’re living with the stream, not against it. Your able to connect more closely to others because you are connecting with yourself.

Being connected to yourself is the solution. It will be beneficial living in harmony with nature. What is good for you is good for the earth, the animals, the plants and everyone around you. There’s no doubt about it.  Your deep connection with yourself will have a ripple effect that will change the world.

Goddess Eostre

We discover more about this ancient spring festival, the origins of Eostre and what Easter really means. Although the Christian festival of Easter celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus and has links to the Jewish Passover, most people, including Christians, unknowingly celebrate its pagan influences, including the bunny, a symbol of fertility, and colored eggs, representing the sunlight of spring.
In the 8th century, Christian scholar Bede claimed in his book, De temporum ratione, (The Reckoning of Time) that Easter derived from the Saxon Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre). The ancient Saxons in Northern Europe worshiped the Goddess Oestre at the time of the Spring Equinox. The Goddess Easter represents the sunrise, spring-time and fertility, the renewal of life.
Pagan Anglo-Saxons made offerings of colored eggs to her at the Vernal Equinox. They placed them at graves as a charm of rebirth. (Egyptians and Greeks were also known to place eggs at gravesites).
All the fun things about Easter are thought to be pagan. Bunnies are a leftover from the pagan festival of Oestre. Exchange of eggs is an ancient custom, celebrated by many cultures. Hot cross buns are very ancient too. In the Old Testament we see the Israelites baking sweet buns for an idol, and religious leaders trying to put a stop to it. The early church clergy also tried to put a stop to sacred cakes being baked at Easter. In the end, in the face of defiant cake-baking pagan women, they gave up and blessed the cake instead. Today the pagans of Easter celebrate with an atmosphere of giving and happiness, a renewal of life.

No matter how you celebrate may you celebrate in good health, happiness and life.

Add Beautiful Spring Flowers to Your Home

Tis the season for beautiful blooms. Look to Mother Nature for a rainbow palette that’s pleasing to the eye. Red, pink, and orange tulips evoke a fiery sunset when combined together.

Spring brings a garden full of lilacs and tulips. Pair these two indoors and create a lush DIY bouquet flower arrangement put them in a vase with fresh water placed throughout different parts of the house. This brings so much life, prana energy into the home environment, it adds positive energy chi.

While you can never go wrong with a classic arrangement of roses, or a full bouquet of carnations, the most on-trend bouquets like using a lot more greenery or different colors are bringing more of  relaxed, botanical style.

These days, a bouquet doesn’t have to be over-the-top to make an impact on your living space. Simple yet an impressive option is to choose flowers that are beautiful on their own and have character.

A beautiful bouquet can also be as simple as a handful of specialty blooms such as ranunculus, garden rose or protea placed in a clear vase. The easy arrangements will add a perfect finishing touch to every room.

There is also a moodier movement happening with flowers, even for the brighter days of spring. Stretch the spectrum between dark and light by adding deep, rich tones like merlot, burgundy and blackberry into a neutral colour palette, you can create depth, dimension and mental connection. The overall feel of the colour palette remains timeless and a subtle sense of full bloom and complexity to a  beautifully mixed flowers bouquet.

Happy Easter Weekend and Chag Sameach. love, #krishna

Easter Party Ideas

Spring is the prime time to enjoy what Mother Nature gave us, starting with some of the freshest and most flavorful fruits and vegetables available for the season.

Easter parties are one of the Spring’s first opportunities for an outdoor party. Easter is also a great time to celebrate family traditions or make some of your own, new traditions.

If you’re in charge of hosting an Easter party this year, we have a few party tip suggestions for the perfect party plan for your friends and family!

Decorate with Bright Colors

Although Easter colors typically include pastels, such as light pink, baby blue and light yellow, your party decorations do not have to follow this color palette. Using one bright bold Spring color, like hot pink, makes an energized, non-traditional color palette. If you have   kids, they will excitingly want to dye Easter eggs in the days leading up to Easter. Stick with their enthusiasm and have them prepare some dyeable ceramic, or other non-perishable, eggs before the party. You will be able to use these eggs to decorate your house before the party and they can be used for a fun Easter Egg Hunt.

Host It Potluck Style

You can always count on family to help out with food for events! Instead of trying to prepare the entire meal, accept your family’s offer to add to the abundance of delicious dishes to help out. One way to successfully host a pot luck style meal is to provide the main course and drinks. Guests can then bring salads, side items, and desserts. Some of the stress of preparing a large meal will be off you and guests will get to enjoy family member’s special dishes.

Easter Egg Hunt

These Easter-themed games turn the holiday into a good old fashioned field day! Everybody loves an Easter egg hunt, but they really only last a couple hours before the kids are in need of another form of entertainment — not to mention some physical activity to burn off all the sugar from the candy available  during the hunt. This Easter Sunday consider starting a new tradition by hosting a backyard Easter party/field day filling eggs with fun prizes, like stickers, movie tickets, or even cash! These fun games will ensure everyone (including the adults) will be having a blast until the sun goes down.

Kids always love a good old-fashioned sack race. Call it a bunny hop race and give each child an old pillowcase or sack to hop in.

Print out a big picture of Peter Rabbit and hang it on the wall to play the Easter twist of the classic party game. Pin the Tail on The Rabbit

Happy Easter weekend
