Which Aromas are Best for Vata?

Vatas are full of energy and creativity when their dosha is in balance. When unbalanced, Vatas have a hard time focusing that energy and they can become anxious and restless. That’s where aromatherapy comes in.

Aromas suggested for Vata
For someone whose primary dosha is Vata, warm, sweet, and sour aromas are generally the most balancing.

Basil

Orange

Rose

Geranium

Clove

Patchouli

Vanilla

You can place a drop of the oil on the back of your hand or wrist and inhale the scent. Another way to use aromatherapy is to place about 10 drops of an essential oil in hot water and allow the scent to fill the room for a half hour. It’s fun to experiment with the combinations and create your own essential oil mixtures.

Explore for yourself and see which aromatherapy techniques work best for you.

Intuitive Living

When you wake up in the morning, start your day by giving yourself permission to be intuitive. Remember, intuition is your natural state; therefore, you do not need to work at it, but rather allow it to express itself through you as You.

Intuition expresses itself through feelings – the language of the soul. By paying attention to how you feel, you become aware of your deeper Self and its guidance. If what you are doing or considering feels good, gives you a sense of inner rightness, chances are you are in alignment with your soul.
The path of intuitive living is the path of trusting and believing in your Self. Spend time daily in silence and self-reflection. Meditation, journaling, yoga and time in nature all contribute to connecting with the quiet voice within.
Honoring your intuition, honoring your true Self, takes great courage. Trust that nothing is revealed to you intuitively if it is not in your highest interest, even if that means making some tough choices (or easy choices) in your life. However your intuition guides you, it is always in service of your well-being. As much as it takes courage to act on your intuition, even before this, it can take courage to be honest with yourself and your situations. Therefore shine the light of truth into your heart and trust that your intuition is there only to serve you, even if it may appear otherwise to you and others.

Life knows what you want more than you do. When you surrender, you will soon discover the magic that Life has in store!

Synchronicity

An experience of synchronicity, the realization dawns that a mysterious force is at play in the world—a kind of “cosmic clock” whose gears operate on a more subtle plane. For many awakening souls, the phenomenon of synchronicity provides a direct and unmistakable encounter with the mysteries of the spiritual realm. Because the experience has particular meaning to who is   involved, it has the power to open a portal to “the world of meaning,” which is the world of the soul in the wisdom teachings.

The invisible, subtle dimension of spirit that is closest to our personalities (on the other side of the veil) is the realm of the soul, a realm technically related to the higher dimensions of mind, but one which also provides access to the plane of higher intuition. While the personality exists in a world of constantly changing circumstances and events, the soul dwells in a world of meaning.

From the perspective of the soul, the world of outer circumstances is a kaleidoscopic collection of symbols. Everything that we experience on the material plane is symbolic of something hidden within the deeper folds of consciousness.
As the soul awakens, it turns to the “task” of uncovering the meaning of life experiences, attempting to discern what each new circumstance may be trying to teach us. Once the needed learning has been extracted from difficult lessons, they no longer have to be repeated.

By observing synchronicities and trying to fathom their meaning, we are drawn into the world of the soul,  accelerating our progress on the path of transformation.

Sattvic energies

Ayurveda sparks your morning with Ayurvedic routines to keep your mind and body balanced and healthy.

A daily routine develops to bring radical change in body, mind, and consciousness.

Routine helps to establish balance in one’s constitution. It also regularizes a person’s biological rhythms, aids digestion, absorption and assimilation, and generates self-esteem, discipline, peace, happiness, and longevity.

A helpful suggestion is to wake up before the sun rises, when there are loving (sattvic) qualities in nature that bring peace of mind and freshness to the senses.

Right after waking, look at your hands for a few moments, then gently move them over your face and chest down to the waist. This cleans the aura.

Forgiveness

In this lifetime some of our choices are made that result in a negative outcome. The desire of the soul to evolve participates fully seeking all experience. The linear self engages in the negativity often magnifying the energy beyond what it needs to be.
It is important to release past choices consciously. Whatever they were they have brought you to this moment of clarity. Your emotions play a huge part of this cycle so self forgiveness is also an imperative part of the process.

See clearly the reason behind the past moments and the value of release. This clearing of energy will allow your creative process to continue in a more positive way.

The past cannot be erased. It is a part of your experience, however, by releasing the energy behind it through forgiveness will help your energy to regain its integrity.

Connect to your source energy and forgive. It is the first step to creating a more beneficial future.

Your gift is the present moment  and it is the grand opportunity. Energize it and be true to yourself.

Soul Evolvement

Difficult situations are sometimes necessary for the soul to evolve, and are created purposefully by the individual (you) and your (soul) it’s a co-creation to realize some lessons require a strong experience for evolution to occur.

The evolved perspective considers the experience and often in hindsight knows that even the most negative experience can produce a positive outcome.

Remember that you are loved, supported, guided and protected by eternal energies 24/7.

Soul’s Holiday

Solitude is the soul’s holiday, an opportunity to take a breather doing for others and to surprise and delight ourselves instead.
To create little islands of solitude in daily life for relaxation. The more you are relaxed the better you can receive.

It’s a challenge to let ourselves slow down and look at the inner world and what is going on there. In moments of prayer or meditation, or simply in stillnes we breathe more deeply, see more fully, hear more clearly. We notice more, and in the process, we return to what is sacred.

Carving out a little solitude can make a world of difference. So go ahead–give yourself a break.

 To Solitude,

Kelly Krishna
