Accidentally dropping loose-leaf tea in your house will bring you good luck… Tea leaves in your cup are a good sign, too.

Happy May! This month brings beautiful flowers, sunshine, and Shakti Fest 2017
Into the heart and goddess within. Shakti Fest is happening in Joshua Tree . It has been said that Shakti Fest is like a Spiritual Woodstock at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center.

Shakti comes from the Sanskrit translation “to be able” We all have the ability to activate the sacred force of primordial cosmic energy. An awesome responsibility! Shakti refers to this powerful life force energy that moves through the entire universe, most often manifesting through the Great Goddess (Maha Devi). The variety of deities embodying Shakti energy are masters of form gifted with the ability to create and destroy the universe with one glance.
A friend to Shakti is Bhakti… Bhakti encompasses the choice to step onto a devotional path of love honoring the divine feminine. It is from this vibrational intention and powerful lineages from many Goddesses and Gods protecting and awakening us, here at this special event.
It is helpful to remember that both men and women embody the feminine essence and energy of Shakti as the ultimate power behind all creation. Although originating within Hinduism, it is appropriate to realize that all the Tara’s of Buddhism also represent this divine feminine energy. Many lineages and traditions share profound respect for the feminine, considered the mother of all seen and unseen realms throughout timeless spaciousness.

Smoothies are popular in our house, even with kids who claim to not like many fruits, or yogurt.
When you are introducing your kids to smoothies, make sure the ingredients are to their liking. If they love chocolate, make a chocolate flavored smoothie with a dash of fruit. Make the idea of smoothies exciting, children love to be involved in the process. Let them make smoothies with fruits of their choice, on the condition that they will drink it. Guide them to make sure that the smoothie they make is edible. Lol.
You are lucky if your child likes eating vegetables. Otherwise, you can disguise the tastes of vegetables with fruits or yogurt. For example, if you want to add broccoli or spinach to the smoothie, you can add a strawberry, banana, or grapefruit to give it a sweet and tangy flavor. To make smoothies fun during summer, you can make Popsicles and add them into the smoothie.
The good news is that smoothies are extremely flexible. If your house doesn’t drink cow’s milk, you can always substitute with almond, coconut, rice or soy milk. You can use the yogurt of your choice and honey or agave are both great natural sweeteners.
The kids can choose the flavor of the juice – orange, apple, cranberry or even coconut water.
Here are a couple of our favorite super simple kid-friendly smoothies

Smoothies for kids are healthy and easy to make and can be had any time of the day. You can serve them during breakfast or as evening snacks. The popularity of smoothies has encouraged businesses to come up with ready-to-go smoothies in different flavors. Dr. Smoothie, Suja, Happy Planet, Happy Monkey, and Innocent Smoothie For Kids are among the most popular smoothie brands in the market today. While it is fine to pick one of these packs, homemade smoothies from fresh fruits and vegetables turn out to be the best in the long run.

Hemp is a deeply misunderstood plant, since it comes from the same family (cannabis sativa) as marijuana. While the plants do share many similarities, it is the differences that make hemp so special. The hemp plant has been used and cultivated by many civilizations worldwide since ancient times. People used to depend on the strong fibers of hemp to produce durable cloth in China and Turkestan. Hemp oil and seeds were also used as food.
Only later was hemp used as medicine in Asia, while it took many more centuries for high CBD hemp oil to be recognized for its medicinal properties in the West
The Differences between Hemp and Marijuana?
Just because two plants belong to the same family, it does not make them identical or even similar.
Hemp is cultivated so it contains far less THC than marijuana. Hemp is much taller when harvested than marijuana. The production of hemp does not violate the Controlled Substances Act.
The most important of these points is that hemp naturally produces only tiny amounts of THC, which is the psychoactive substance in marijuana that causes a high. On the other hand, hemp contains quite a lot of CBD, which is a legal, non-psychoactive cannabinoid. High CBD hemp oil offers almost as many health benefits as THC-rich medical marijuana (if not more).
The Health Benefits of CBD Hemp Oil
CBD has been shown by studies and continuing research to have many health benefits similar, if not identical, to those of medical marijuana products.
Among the must-know facts about cannabidiol are its potent health benefits:
Diminished Nausea (excellent for anyone undergoing chemotherapy)
Improved Appetite (fantastic for individuals who suffer and who are in recovery from an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulima)
Pain Relief
Stress Relief
Anxiety Reduction (helps diminish panic attacks and general anxiety)
CBD is simply CBD, no matter which cannabis plant you get it from. CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is one of the (more than 60) cannabinoids contained in most cannabis/hemp plants. The difference is in how much CBD every plant contains.
CBD Does it come in all forms?
It does such as CBD Hemp oil, edibles, liquids, capsules, tinctures, oils, flowers, concentrate, kief, plant extract, and contains no THC and more CBD. This is a reason to why CBD hemp oil is a superb choice.
How to Purchase CBD Hemp Oil
There are plenty of shops online that offer CBD hemp oil, and it is possible to find similar products in cannabis collectives and dispensaries in the states where they are legal.
The best way to ensure that your CBD hemp oil is pure and of potent quality a suggested source we recommend is Healthy Hemp Oil
How to Make Stuff with CBD Hemp Oil
CBD Creativity is the fun part! CBD supplements come in so many variations and products that you can experiment quite a lot in the way it is consumed. Ingesting oil is for a quick solution and It is smart to choose a flavored CBD oil too your liking for maximum enjoyment.
Vaping CBD oil with a special vape pen is another option if you prefer to inhale your cbd product in the form of mist.
Did you know that, CBD oil can be added to foods, smoothies, drinks and sweets as a flavor enhancer and an agent of healing for the mind, body, and soul?

Three Reasons Not To Eat A Cow.
1 Cows Have Complex Feelings.
Cows are gentle social animals. They have the ability to recognize more than 100 other cows, and they form close friendships with members of their herd and also with humans.
2 Your Body Will Thank You
To make cows grow at an unnaturally fast rate, the cattle industry implants them with pellets full of hormones. While low levels of naturally occurring hormones are found in various foods, many scientists are concerned that the artificial hormones injected into cows cause health problems in humans who eat them. Many of these hormones are illegal in many countries.
3 Plant-Based Meat Is Better Than Ever
Leaving cows and other animals off your plate is easier than ever. You can now get tasty veggie burgers at numerous restaurants, and every food store is beginning to carry vegetarian beef replacements, all of which are delicious and cholesterol- and cruelty-free.

Edible petals, Butterfly Pea Flowers has been used as a “smart drug” to enhance memory, cognition and intelligence. Butterfly Pea Flower has long been recognized in Ayurveda and other forms of traditional medicine for its medicinal purposes. Tinctures made are beneficial for skincare, haircare, bodycare, and beautycare.
Butterfly pea buds themselves have a subdued flavor similar to a slightly more herbal black tea, but the plant primarily functions as a natural dye that’s subtle in flavor but bold in visual color and attraction.
The flowers are most famously used to make a traditional Thai welcome tea known as dok anchan, which is served frequently to travelers upon arrival. And after centuries of use in Southeast Asia for health purposes like strengthening hair follicles and helping fight depression, butterfly pea tea and its concentrate found themselves in blue beverages, butterfly pea concentrate became a darling of the cocktail world. The tincture allows bartenders to craft drinks with a cool- sunset-style color spectrum and chefs to decorate dishes with elegance.
