Full moons have long been associated with myths and legends and Native Americans gave a distinctive name to the one that occurred each month. September’s full moon is known as the Harvest Moon or Corn Moon because of it occurring at a time when crops were harvested and farmers could work by the light of the full moon. It most commonly occurs in September, but the name is given to the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, which can fall during October once or twice every decade.

 

The Moon is very happy in Pisces. (which also occurs in conjunction with Pisces ruler, Neptune) amplifying the energy of Pisces and making it even more important for us to be sweet, gentle, kind, and caring. Intuition is subtle. It is gentle and whispers. As you go about your day, your intuition speaks in subtle hints. To perceive it, you must keep a peaceful demeanor and thoughtfully listen to the voice of your spirit.

You can access intuition any time and often unexpectedly. Accessing your intuitive guidance really does require you to enter the “wilderness” of that quiet place within you where no one else can follow. Your intuition is the very still voice arising from the authentic self.

Intuition Is A Real Force.
It is not just a thought. Intuition is a real spiritual energy that guides and directs you. You can become in tune to your spirit if you take the time to recognize it.

With intuition there is no striving or feelings of urgency. If you are pressed, rushed or anxious, it is not at the fault of intuition but rather over active thoughts.

 

Intuition Is Associated More With Right Brain.
The left side of the brain is associated with thoughts while the right brain is connected with imagination. Your intuition plays its role through the right brain, impressing images in the mind’s eye.

Meditation and visualisation help you tune in to your intuition and access the right side of the brain. Find time daily to meditate or sit in silence and visualise. Allow your intuition to show you impressions and listen as it speaks.

 

Intuition Always Works.

Whether you appreciate the outcomes of your intuition, it is always working for you. Similar to a language, the more you learn to understand its finer points the more you use it. You never know how intuition can guide you to safety or keep you from harm because its power lies in its subtlety.
